Moisturizer is the most important skin care item for women with dry skin. However, instead of buying an expensive moisturizer you can easily make your own moisturizer with the help of natural moisturizing ingredients. There are myriads of benefits of using homemade moisturizers. They do not contain additives, preservatives and chemicals that in the long-run tend to damage your skin. There is minimal risk of allergic reactions by using homemade moisturizers. The chemical-free homemade moisturizer, apart from hydrating the skin, also helps in nourishing the skin. It helps in keeping the skin smooth and soft for a longer time.
Here Is How You Can Make Moisturizers For Your Dry Skin At Home:
1. Aloe Vera Moisturizer
Aloe vera gel is a natural moisturizer for the dry skin. In addition to supplying moisture to the skin, aloe vera gel helps in calming the skin. To moisturize your dry skin with homemade aloe vera moisturizer, you will need 1 ½ teaspoon of aloe vera gel, 3 tablespoons of aloe vera oil, 3 tablespoons of jojoba oil, ½ tablespoon of cocoa butter, ½-teaspoon of honey, 1 ½ teaspoon of grated beeswax and 2 ½ tablespoons of water. Use a double boiler to melt the beeswax. Add aloe vera oil, jojoba oil and cocoa butter to the melted beeswax and mix well. Add aloe vera gel and honey to the mixture and stir to mix the ingredients. Pour the water and blend all the ingredients. Allow the mixture to cool and then pour it in a container.
2. Coconut Oil, Olive Oil And Cocoa Butter
Coconut oil, olive oil and cocoa butter are three excellent natural ingredients for moisturizing the dry skin. To prepare the homemade moisturizer you will need a tablespoon of coconut oil, two teaspoons of olive oil and two tablespoons of cocoa butter. In a double boiler, melt and blend coconut oil and cocoa butter. Add olive oil and mix well. Pour the mixture in a container. After the mixture cools down slightly, once again stir the mixture.
3. Glycerin Moisturizer
Glycerin acts as humectant. It absorbs moisture from the air and forms a protective layer on the skin. For your homemade glycerin moisturizer for the dry skin you will need a teaspoon of vegetable glycerin, a teaspoon of vegetable oil and half a cup of water. Pour the water in a bowl and add glycerin and vegetable oil. Mix well. Your homemade moisturizer is now ready for use.
