5 Easy Recipes Of Homemade Sunscreens For Tan Free Skin

Sunscreen is the most important product in our skin care routine. It helps to protect our skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays which causes sunburn, skin cancer and tanning. We generally use store bought sunscreens which we find heavy and greasy sometimes.

You might have read that you can prepare the sunscreens at home with easily available ingredients. The most important benefit is you can use the ingredients which are suitable for your skin type. We would be discussing about few easy recipes of sunscreens which you can prepare at home.

1. Sunscreens With Essential Oils

This sunscreen is suitable for all skin types and leave a nice fresh fragrance behind after application. To prepare this sunscreen you would need 1/4th cup of beeswax, two tablespoons of Shea butter, half cup of Raspberry seed oil, two tablespoons of zinc oxide, 20 to 25 drops of essential oil of your choice. Take Raspberry seed oil and Shea Butter in a bowl and put it in the microwave till it melts. Now add zinc oxide and essential oils to it and mix well. Let it cool down and store it in the container. This sunscreen would easily last up to 6 months.

2. Sunscreen With Olive Oil

This sunscreen is very beneficial for dry skin as it helps to nourish the skin as well along with protection. To prepare this sunscreen you would need Half cup of Olive oil, 1/4th Cup of Coconut oil, 1/4th cup of beeswax and two teaspoons of vitamin e oil. Put all the ingredients except zinc oxide into the bowl and keep it in the microwave. Once it melts take it out and add zinc oxide to it. Mix well and store it in the container or a bottle.

3. Sunscreen With Coconut Oil

This is one of the easiest recipes of sunscreens. You would need one cup of coconut oil, half a cup of Shea Butter, Half a cup of filtered water and half a cup of zinc oxide. Put all the ingredients in the blender and make a smooth paste. Now store this in a jar and keep it at cool place. Your sunscreen is ready to use. Coconut oil is known as a natural sunscreen hence it doubles up its efficiency.

4. Super Easy Sunscreen With Body Lotion

You would need only two ingredients to prepare this sunscreen. One cup of your regular body lotion and five tablespoons of zinc oxide. You can choose the moisturizing or hydrating body lotion which would not dry out your skin. Now mix both the ingredients together with the help of a blender to get a smooth consistency. Store this mixture and your homemade super easy sunscreen is ready to use. You can also add few drops of essential oils of your choice.

5. Sunscreen With Aloe Vera

To prepare this sunscreen you would need one cup of aloe vera gel, 10 to 15 drops of carrot seed oil, 1/4th cup of avocado oil and 10 drops of myrrh essential oil. Here we are not using zinc oxide since myrrh gives equal sun protection as zinc oxide. Mix all the ingredients together and put in the bottle. This sunscreen is suitable for oily and combination skin.
