Homemade Tea Tree Oil Skin Care Products:
1. Tea Tree Oil Foaming Face Wash
If you have oily skin and are looking for a homemade product for treating acne, tea oil works even better and gentler than benzoyl peroxide. This foaming facial cleanser will help to clarify and tone your skin and will also help to maintain skin’s natural balance as the ingredients used in this facial cleanser are gentle on your skin and the anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties of tea tree oil will help to kill the acne causing bacteria.
1cup filtered water
¼ cup of liquid castile soap
2 tbsp. raw honey
1tsp tea tree oil
5 tsp. jojoba oil, 15 drops of each of lavender and rosemary essential oil
Add the ingredients one by one as listed above and stir well. Transfer into a foaming soap dispenser. Use just 1 or 2 pumps to wash your face every day. The combination of ingredients can be changed according to your skin type. For example, if you have drier skin, you have to use less castile soap and more oil or water.
2. DIY Tea Tree Oil Face Toner
Skin toner is an essential part of beauty treatment, but many women skip it without knowing its importance. Toning of the skin is necessary for removing the bit of dirt or oil that your cleanser may have missed along with nourishing, hydrating and restoring the pH balance of the skin. Combined with neutralizing apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil which has amazing antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties makes a fantastic skin toner that is completely natural. It also masks the smell of ACV and smells great.
1.5 ounce of organic apple cider vinegar
1.5 ounce of filtered water
6 drops of tea tree essential oil
Take spray bottle. First fill the bottle with ACV and then add water. Add tea tree essential oil. Shake well to mix the solution thoroughly. As we have diluted ACV and tea tree oil with water, it will not at all be harsh to your skin. Just spritz on your face directly or use a cotton pad to tone your face. Moisturize after applying toner.
3. Homemade Tea Tree Coconut Oil Face Scrub
Coconut oil has excellent moisturizing properties and tea-tree oil has anti-bacterial properties. This moisturizing scrub will exfoliate your skin gently and provide soft smooth and clear skin.
½ cup coconut oil (organic)
10 drops tea tree essential oil
1/4 cup sugar
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly; apply on your facial skin and massage with fingers in circular motion. Wash off using lukewarm water. You will get soft glowing skin.
4. DIY Tea Tree Oil Makeup Remover
Though a variety of makeup removers are available in the market these days for removing all makeup at the end of the day, but these natural makeup remover will remove all the makeup without any side effects, while moisturizing and disinfecting the skin at the same time.
1 cup warm distilled water
1tsp. witch hazel
2tbsp. coconut oil
1tsp. cleansing oil
5 drops of tea tree essential oil
5 drops of grapefruit essential oil
Mix all ingredients one by one as mentioned in the list with water. This extra hydrating makeup remover will smell amazingly refreshing due to elements like grape fruit oil and tea tree essential oil along with killing bacteria.
5. DIY Tea Tree Oil Mask To Treat Acne
This cooling mask will help to remove impurities and excess oil from your skin and prevent acne breakouts.
2 tsp. tea tree oil
Combine all the three ingredients to make to make a fine paste; apply the mask on your face and leave for at least 20 minutes. Rinse off using lukewarm water. Using this mask 2-3 times a week will stop acne breakouts and make your skin free of blemishes.
