5 Ways To Make Your Own Blackhead Removal Strips

To get rid of the pesky blackheads from the nose and the chin, we usually depend on blackhead removal strips. However, do you know that you can easily make your own pore strips with simple ingredients that are readily available in your kitchen? The homemade pore strips work in the same way as the blackhead removal strips you buy from the store. Apart from removing the blackheads and unclogging the pores, they help in tightening the pores and can minimize further breakouts.

Here Are 5 Simple Ways To Make Your Own Blackhead Removal Strips:

1. Egg White Pore Strip

Break an egg and separate the white from the yolk. Whip the egg white until it becomes light and frothy. If desired, mix a teaspoon of lemon or lime juice with the egg white. With a makeup brush coat a layer of egg white on the affected area. Place a piece of tissue paper over the egg white layer and cover it with a layer of egg white. When the strip becomes dry and hardens, peel it off.

2. Milk And Gelatin Pore Strip

To prepare this pore strip, you will need milk and unflavored gelatin in equal quantities. Usually two teaspoons of each is enough. Thoroughly mix the milk and gelatin. Use a double boiler to warm the mixture. Stir the mixture while heating it. Allow the mixture to cool down slightly, and if desired, add a drop of lavender essential oil. Paint a layer of the warm mixture on the affected area. Allow the mixture to harden. Peel off the hardened mixture.

Blend ½ teaspoon of baking soda with ½ cup of lukewarm water. Thoroughly mix to make a smooth mixture. Immerse a folded paper towel in the baking soda solution, squeeze to remove the excess water and press it on the blackheads. Leave the strip on the skin at least for 10 minutes and then peel it away.
