7 Effective Home Remedies To Digestive Problems

It has a typical minty flavour which benefits against bloating, gas, and indigestion. You can simply crush few peppermint leaves to extract the juice and consume it. Alternatively, you could find peppermint oil at the drug store which could be taken diluted with water.

It is a common practice to eat fennel seeds after meals; reason for which is that it aids digestion. It is also scientifically proven that fennel seeds help the body to maintain proper digestion process.[2] Fennel seeds are known to contain essential oils (for e.g. eugenol) which reduce gastric muscle cramps, reduces gas thereby providing relief against indigestion. You can just chew a handful of fennel seeds or soak them in a cup of water overnight and drink the water next morning for best results. Dry fennel powder is also available in stores which is equally effective as other forms.

Asafoetida is a pleasant smelling ingredient which is usually used as a spice in daily cooking practices.[3] It helps to reduce colic pain in adults as well as small babies. It is beneficial to include it in daily cooking; additionally, you could also boil half a teaspoon with warm water and drink the solution twice a day for best results.

7. Lime Soda

Soda is alkaline in nature and reduces stomach acidity by neutralising the gut acid. The most beneficial way is to mix some lime juice in soda with a pinch of rock salt and consume it post meals.
